Where does my health information in the Portal come from?

All of the information in the Portal comes from your Wayne UNC Health Care Electronic Health Record.

How do I log in to the Portal?

If you are already registered, click on the Login to the Patient Portal link at the top of the page. Then, simply enter your user name and password.

What if I am not registered to use the Portal?

If you have not received a Login ID, you will need to stop by the Medical Records Department and register for the Portal. Or you can click on the Self-Enrollment link at the top of the page to register. You will need to have your Medical Record Number and a current email address on file with the Hospital. You may also call the Portal help line at 919.587.4200.

What if I don’t have an email address? How do I get one?

There are many free email services available. Any email service is compatible with MyWayneHealth. To create a free email account, consider using some of the email providers below:

• Gmail from Google (http://mail.google.com)
• Outlook.com from Microsoft (http://www.outlook.com)
• Yahoo! Mail from Yahoo (http://login.yahoo.com)

Can my family access my Portal?

If you would like your family to access the Portal, you will need to fill out the Proxy Request form and bring it to the Medical Records Department.

Are my physician’s office records available through the Portal?

No. You will need to contact your physician for information regarding appointments and office visits.

Who do I contact to correct errors in my record?

To change any information in your medical record, you must complete an official Hospital form in the Hospital’s Health Information Management Department. Changes to your medical record cannot be made by telephone or email; it must be handled in person.

Who do I contact to discuss my test results?

Contact your primary care physician or the provider who ordered the test.

Who can access the Portal?

All patients age eighteen (18) and older can receive a Portal login.

How will I know if my results are available to view on the Portal?

You will receive an email regarding new activity on your patient portal account. Results and reports will be available 36 hours after completion.

Is my information safe?

Yes. Portal passwords are encrypted. You and authorized family members are the only people who can access your Portal. Also, a timeout feature protects your information if you leave the Portal page open.

What if I have technical problems with the Portal?

Use the Contact Us link within the portal to submit questions, email us at mywaynehealth@waynehealth.org or call 919.587.4200 if you have questions or need help with your Patient Portal. Please allow 1-3 days for a response.
