Goldsboro Surgery That Combines Safety with Technology
Our surgical teams perform 14,000 procedures and are proud that we maintain an almost 100 percent patient satisfaction and a very low surgical site infection rate (SSI). As part of our patient safety focus, we adhere to the the criteria set forth in the Surgical Care Improvement Project, a national initiative focused on reducing preventable surgical complications.
In addition to our specialized surgeons, we have a dedicated anesthesiology team, who are experienced in their field and attentive to our patients’ needs.

Barrett’s Ablation Therapy
This procedure is often used for treatment of Barrett’s Esophagus, a precancerous condition of the lining of the esophagus that can result from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). When left untreated, Barrett’s Esophagus can turn cancerous. The endoscopic procedure delivers radiofrequency energy in a unique way that helps ablate or remove unwanted, diseased tissue, while minimizing injury to healthy esophageal tissue. It is also used to treat gastric antral vascular ectasia and radiation proctitis.
For more than 100 years, Wayne UNC Health Care has provided advanced surgical services in Goldsboro, NC and to patients throughout Wayne County, in Clinton, Greenville, Kinston, LaGrange, Mount Olive, Princeton, Rocky Mount, Smithfield and Wilson.
