Welcome to the Wayne Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center. Our professional staff is trained to provide a specialized, comprehensive course of therapy to assist in healing your problem wound. During your course of treatment, our Center will work with your regular physician to assure complete continuity of all your medical services.
There are many different types of wounds. Some are associated with complications from diabetes, while others are related to vascular disorders. At the Wound Care Center, we use the latest technologies to treat these chronic or non-healing wounds. And we provide a full assessment of factors that may contribute to your ability to heal, such as nutrition, medications, and medical conditions.
With state-of-the-art treatments, including debridement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, dressing selection, special shoes, and patient education, our specially trained team of physicians and nurses use an interdisciplinary model of care. For you, our patient, this means we’re focused on your total health, and we demonstrate that through the use of comprehensive treatments. These include infectious-disease management, diabetic education, radiology testing, debridement, and the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to ultimately produce healthy tissue.
The physicians and staff at the Wayne Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center are committed to treating and healing your wound. And our services are designed to enhance –– not replace –– the care you receive from your primary physician.
At the Wound Care Center, our heart is in healing wounds.
