Less ZZZs, More Calories. Researchers tell us when we don’t get enough sleep; we tend to eat up to 300 calories more a day!
Caring For Our Children
The Pediatrics Department at Wayne Memorial Hospital offers an outstanding level of care for our young patients. Specializing in care for infants, children, and adolescents, we offer the expertise, compassion, and medical leadership you know and trust. Working in conjunction with the Hospital’s Women & Infant Center, the Department of Pediatrics is staffed by a team of board-certified pediatricians and specially trained nurses who provide expert round-the-clock monitoring and treatment.
The pediatric nurses at Wayne Memorial Hospital are proud to offer Safe Sitter ® Classes for local adolescents. When a community makes Safe Sitter® available, it truly benefits everyone. The classes help prepare young adolescents to care for your children in an emergency by giving them knowledge of first aid, rescue skills, behavior management techniques, and life experiences necessary for handling medical, behavioral, or household emergencies which might occur. These classes are one more way that Wayne Memorial Hospital is helping you and your loved ones LiveWell.
