The Path to Hope
For many, the stresses of daily living or the challenges of aging can be overwhelming. No one should have to face these problems alone. With the help
of the dedicated and caring behavioral health staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital, you don’t have to.
Wayne Memorial Hospital provides intensive inpatient behavioral health treatment to adults of all ages. Our treatment approach consists of a multidisciplinary team model led by a board-certified psychiatrist, and we can provide a continuum of care through inpatient treatment.
Based on assessment and referral, patients may have an individualized treatment plan or attend counseling clinics where groups meet several times a week for topic-oriented sessions. Therapy is available for, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, phobias, or thought disorders.
Patients benefit from the highly structured environment and intensive approach provided by specially trained nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and the psychiatrists. A registered nurse provides round-the-clock care and monitoring. The multidisciplinary team composed of the psychiatrist, registered nurse, licensed clinical social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and technicians provide care using an individualized treatment plan during the Hospital stay, and assist with transition plans for continued care upon discharge.
Modalities of medication management, recreation therapy, and group sessions are incorporated into the individualized treatment plan to assist in stabilizing the patient’s psychiatric crisis.
