For many, the stresses of daily living or the challenges of aging can be overwhelming. No one should have to face these problems alone. With the help of the dedicated and caring staff of Stoney Creek Behavioral Health at Wayne Memorial Hospital, you don’t have to.
Located on the Hospital campus, Stoney Creek Behavioral Health provides intensive inpatient and outpatient programs. Treatment is available to adults of all ages. The treatment approach at Stoney Creek is a multi-disciplinary team model led by a board-certified psychiatrist. Stoney Creek offers a continuum of care through inpatient or outpatient treatment. Based on assessment and referral, patients may have an individualized treatment plan or attend counseling clinics where groups meet several times a week for topic-oriented sessions. Therapy is available for, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, phobias, or thought disorders.
Inpatient Services:
Patients benefit from the highly structured environment and intensive approach provided by specially trained nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and the psychiatrists. A registered nurse provides round-the-clock care and monitoring. The multidisciplinary team composed of the psychiatrist, registered nurse, licensed clinical social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and technicians provide care using an individualized treatment plan during the Hospital stay, and assist with transition plans for continued care upon discharge. Modalities of medication management, recreation therapy, and group sessions are incorporated into the individualized treatment plan to assist in stabilizing the patient’s psychiatric crisis.
Outpatient Services:
Patients also benefit from a level of structure and stability that can be provided in the outpatient setting. The program is supervised by the board certified psychiatrist and therapy facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker. Group sessions offered assist the adult and senior adult with independent life skills, healthy living and coping skills, depression, self-esteem issues, and other mental health problems. Individual and family therapy is also available if deemed necessary by the psychiatrist. This program also provides transportation for those in need.
Group Sessions: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
