The Center recently earned the Center of Distinction award for achieving a patient satisfaction rating of more than 92%, while surpassing a 30-day wound healing goal for more than 91% of its patients over the past 12 months.

“We’re extremely proud to have once again earned this designation,” says Medical Director of the Wound Care Center Dr. Dimitrios Lintzeris. “This award places us among an elite group of such centers both in the state and nationally.”

Step 1: Enjoy a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. This can help you prevent circulatory challenges that can slow wound healing.

Step 2: Exercise every day. Even moderate exercise can help your body better circulate blood through your limbs.

Step 3: If you smoke, quit. Quitting smoking at any age can decrease your risk for, and slow the progression of, circulatory problems.

Step 4: Talk to your doctor about an ABI screening. This simple screening measures the blood pressure in your arms and ankles to assess your circulatory health.
