Staff Development is proud to serve each employee of Wayne Memorial hospital on his or her quest for professional enrichment. A wide range of classes is presented every month, ranging from mandatory offerings such as Diversity Training, CPR, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) to optional classes such as Stress Management. A number of courses are also brought to the hospital through Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
In conjunction with a number of offered classes, Staff Development is very pleased to offer NetLearning! This computer-based learning program allows employees to complete mandatory and optional training online from computers within the hospital, as well as from the outside. Staff can now fit information sessions into their schedule with the 24/7 availability of the NetLearning System. Wayne Memorial Hospital is dedicated to having a well-trained staff, and this is the latest initiative in our endeavor to continue that mission.
Also located in the Staff Development Department is the Health Sciences Library which offers a variety of materials for medical research. A computer lab is available and offers access to a variety of software programs as well as the Internet. We are happy to offer the use of this computer lab to the families of our patients as well.
