The Rehabilitation Services Department at Wayne Memorial Hospital is committed to assisting our patients to regain their optimal functional level. We are committed to our patients, their families and our community by providing motivation, education and instruction based upon physician referrals. We interact with other healthcare professionals and community organizations, as well as participate in area health fairs and school programs to better serve Wayne County and surrounding areas.
Rehabilitation Services is comprised of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech/Language Pathology. Each discipline has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to meet your age specific needs. Currently we have a "Certified Hand Therapist" to meet any of your hand or arm functional needs. The diagnoses treated at our facility include, but are not limited to: neurologic pathology, orthopedic injuries, wound care, industrial injuries, sports injuries, vestibular (balance) deficits, amputations, TMJ dysfunction, speech and swallow dysfunction. The specific treatment plans are individualized based upon the diagnosis, referral, patient needs and goals. Our staff is involved with an ongoing continuing education program to allow for the best possible treatment interventions. We are compliant with Medicare, JCAHO, and HIPAA regulations.
