Out-Patient Scheduling

Your doctor may write orders for you to come to Wayne Memorial Hospital as an outpatient for any number of reasons, including lab work, diagnostic tests, outpatient procedures and outpatient surgery.  (No written order is needed for routine yearly mammograms.)  Prior to coming to the hospital, you will need written orders from your doctor, or approved healthcare provider,  clearly stating the reason for your visit. These orders should be presented to the Registration Desk, which is located in the West Wing lobby entrance. (Use "Patient Entrance.")

You will be asked to provide a picture identification, health insurance card (if applicable), billing information and other personal information. A computer bar-coded patient identification bracelet will be placed on one of your wrists. This will assist our staff in tracking your procedures and any medications, should you require them. Once you have your ID bracelet and appropriate paperwork, you can proceed to appropriate department. All outpatients are encouraged to arrive at least an hour prior to their appointment to allow enough time for the registration process.
