Wayne Memorial Hospital participates in several state and national quality reporting programs. We use this information to help us continuously improve our care and excel in patient quality and safety.
The Joint Commission
The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 15,000 healthcare organizations and programs in the United States, including more than 8,200 hospitals. Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards setting and accrediting body in health care.
Wayne Memorial Hospital has the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
NC Hospital Quality
The North Carolina Hospital Association provides reports for you on quality measures from hospitals in North Carolina and lets you compare hospitals within a certain region.
Wayne Memorial Hospital also asks our patients and families to rate us on their patient experience.
Like most US hospitals, Wayne Memorial participates in the national Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey (HCAHPS) sponsored by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Additionally, Wayne Memorial Hospital has partnered with The Jackson Group from Hickory, NC to conduct our patient experience survey. Phone surveys are conducted with randomly chosen patients. Information from both patient surveys is used to continuously improve our services.
