What to Expect
Thank you for your interest in employment with Wayne Memorial Hospital. So that your application may receive appropriate attention, please read the following:
All applications are online and can be completed via our website from any personal or public computer with internet access.
To view open positions, select “Find”, or for a specific position, choose your position category. Once that data is entered, open positions will appear that match your selected criteria. Identify a position that best matches your interest and qualifications and select “Apply Now” to complete the online application process. As a first-time user, continue to complete the registration process to get your user ID and login password. Then complete the online application. Resumes should not be substituted for the Employment Section of the form. Please be specific when describing your education, work experience and other relevant data.
As a returning user, login using your user ID and password and begin applying for open positions. Application information can be updated and other positions applied for using the same login procedure.
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements for the position will be invited to move to the next step of the hiring process and will be notified by email/ phone of the scheduled on-line assessments. Applicants will be notified if selected for an interview.
All applications for specific positions will remain in our files for 12 months.
A list of current employment opportunities is posted on our website. To be considered for an open position, you must indicate the position you are applying for on the application.
The Nurse Practice Act requires that nurses be licensed to practice before beginning employment. For information about licensure, contact the North Carolina Board of Nursing, PO Box 2129, Raleigh, NC, 27602. New graduating nurses are required to provide a letter of reference from a senior level nursing faculty member. This must be received prior to commencing employment.
The following pre-employment assessments are conducted on all candidates: Criminal background/record review, drug screen, advanced education verification. Falsified, incorrect or inaccurate information submitted by a candidate on any submitted document will disqualify the candidate from employment.
